A friend has an F3 that did this. He took the ring that the balls ride in and turned it 180 degrees. He had to drill another hole to put the balls in and maybe just a little more machine work. Not much. Only one side of the ring has much wear. I think it is the top side.

Get an aftermarket boot from lowen. Depending on the combine model it will cost in the $400 to $500 range. It uses nylon plates instead of those !@n$%^ balls!! I put one on my M2 last year (2001) and have had no problems at all. They are available from Sloan Express or Abilene Machine. Hope this helps! T3

I think I have a can of the ball bearings around here if you decide to fix your swivel. I purchased a new one from Abiline.

Bolt pattern will not match up if you try to turn it. There will be more work than just turnning you well have to cut bolts off and reweld in the right place it may worp from the heat and not workIJ Have tried the ones with the plastic bearings and they work good. No grian get's in bearings so there is less grinding in pivet point.
