Combines Unloader extension

I think there's a couple ways to go. One of the extensions bolts between the current auger and the elbow. It's made by Stewart Steel Inc. and loewen has them. The other one is by Maurer and goes on the end of the auger and looks like a copy of the Cat. It kind of shoots the grain out the end.

Gator,I bought a one year old 2188(96 model I bought in 97)that had a extension installed at the dealer when new. I used it one year and it worked fine.I decided to remove it because I only run a 6 row head.It is in excellent cond.and will sell it if your interested.

Thanks Farm Kid2. I have seen the end shoot from CAT . I will need it as well as the extension in the auger tube.I live in Australia so I will have to see who the dealer for loewen is down here. We have a manufacturer here that builds a 40ft draper front that is centre mounted to suit our controlled traffic farming so we need a long auger to get the grain out of the combine.

Thanks shucks. I forgot to tell you I live in Australia so it wouldn't be real easy to buy it off you. Just curious as to how long the extension was.

I guess I would go to Stewart Steel directly and see if they have a distributor in Australia. Here's the link:

Here's the link to Maurer. The auger extension is new, so it's not on the website yet.

Gator, the extension I have was made by MandR Machine(now Stewart Steel)out of Canada. It is called "The Extender"It is 3' in length and looks like a factory unit when installed. I agree the distance between us is too great for a trade or sale. G'Day Mate. (Always wanted to say that to a real Australian!!)

Steve,I don't think my extension would work for you.My setup has splines on the ends of the auger and elbow gearbox and I think yours has a smooth shaft with a cross pin.I could be wrong.I suggest you go to your local Case parts man and compare a 1480 setup to a 1996 2188.If you can make it work holler back and will go from there. Thanks and Good luck
