yes, it must be timed correctly, maybe someone else can shed more light on the subject, but i know that it must be correct.

the horizontal auger must be backed up one quarter of a turn. and if you have a split auger on the horizontal, you leave one to two flats on the drive shaft coupler open to each other. the tips of the augers should have a opening between.

the vertical auger should be back and the horizontal auger should be at 2-3 o'clock

Gator, When you took the auger all apart did you notice that decal on the inspection door right behind the unloading auger elbowIJ That decal explains how to put it back together. It says, "leading edge of horizontal auger should be positioned 90 degrees from trailing edge of vertical auger". When I had mine apart couple of years ago it took me half a day to figure out what that meant. If you set the leading edge of he horizotal auger so it forms an l with the trailing edge of the vertical auger you'll have it right. Good luck! K.A.

I know it's probably too late now and I don't mean to sound like a smarta$$, but a digital camera sure does improve the ol' memory when you're taking this stuff apart. I've had great luck snapping a bunch of pictures, since they are basically free, and then I can go back and look at them if I have to.

My experience from putting CASE and Deere unloader back together, I just watch so they don't hit each other going around.

Check for the grease fitting on the elbow gear box and I give it 7 pumps each year. Costly repair and you have to remove the "elbow" to place that gearbox in from the bottom. JWK
