Combines unloading auger comes on by itself

Check the upper spring that returns the idler. I think the spring length is 7 inches. As for why it does it when it does who knowsIJIJ I just put a new belt on mine and it was longer than the original that is 18 years old.....had a heck of a time getting it adjusted right. Good luck!

Well I found the problem today. The frame is broke and cracked from the lower left corner of the concave door opening upward. It is causing the cab to tilt foward. Called the dealer and they said they have seen it many times. I took it to the local welding shop. They said they just got done repairing another combine with the same problem. Takes about two hours to fix.
