Brad, We have an insert made to go inside the elbow coming off of combine. Normally when we weld this in place we eliminate the clean out hole as this is where that elbow will wear a hole first. We have on occasion cut the access hole back in insert. The insert is made from 10ga. steel and welded in place. Have insalled 15-20 of these over the years and have not replaced a elbow with this addition. Hyper Harvest II

Well, my brother found one that was on a low hour fire unit i guess that is in real good shape. Ours is coming apart where the tube welds to the face plate at the joint. Must have bumped something before we got i guess. However, it sounds like i should put this insert in if i don't want future problems.
