Really like the loewen one as it attaches to the base end of the long auger instead of at the unloading end, and it is made of the heavier material like the swivel, not sheet metal like the unloading auger tube. Haven't checked, but there may be a photo on their webb siteIJ

Go with the lowen model. It bolts to the bottom and is made out of pipe. It costs about $600. I believe that is what I was quoted by my dealer this fall.

Don't know if loewen has a bolt on extention for base end of tube on older machines. I think the guys are thinking about the R60-70 and newer design swivels. You might want to consider plug kit from Gleaner for swing cylinder for it will limit outward stroke which will leave auger in higher position. Gleaner has a longer flater spout that helps to a certain extent also. We've only extended tube on a couple of the older systems and we winged it. Good luck

I am with Dan on this one. Put the slug in the cylinder and that will gain you an extra 12" in height. If you are running wider than an 8 row cornhead or 20ft. platform you can get the spout extension. As for the slug in the cylinder we just use a 1 1_4" black pipe coupling and take the end cap off of cylinder and drop the pipe coupling in on top of piston. This will be your cylinder stop and will cost you around $3-$4 for the pipe coupling (Do Not Use Galvanized!). This setup has worked for years and compared to AGCO is a very small fraction of there price for the slug kit. Hyper Harvest II
