Sure someone knows more, but do know they farm, sell equipment, and rent out many combines. Think it's just a inventory reduction deal.

Dale you are mistaken Peterson Farms only farmed, they didn't do any equipment sales, renting, leasing, or custom work in fact they even were hiring combines to get their crops out. They have been running something like 30,000 acres from east central South Dakota to the Canadian boarder up until this last spring when they rented out roughly 15,000 acres of which they owned and only farmed the land they rented. I am not going to get into detail why they are selling but lets just say Uncle Sam doesn't like them very much anymore.

Where is this sale at in MN. If it is near Frost MN (Extreme South Central) they are machinery jockeys. They got their start farming, moved on to custom combining, and now spend a good share of their time moving machinery. They do alot of reconditioning of combines. From what I have heard they are quite reputable dealers.

They are accused of mis-useing the farm program. to many corp. Gov. has got a big lawsuit against them. looks to be lawyers grave train.

Sorry, you are correct, the Peterson's at Wendell did indeed misuse the farm program.

Maybe because they used JD combinesIJ Actually, there was an article about uncle sam going after these folks for playing games with various farm entities. Their side of the story was that they received help from FSA setting up all of these entities. I'm sure they'll be in the news again!

Who is in charge of the saleIJ When is the saleIJ I would look over the machinery VERY VERY close.
