Combines Upgrade for feeder shaft

The latest greatest shaft has a spacer between hex and right bearing over champher area. Don't know if it is a complete fix for it don't seem like anything is totally indestructable. Number one is to try follow all tricks to feeding found hear and likely you won't lose another shaft. Good luck

Thanks Dan,I've ordered the parts. What is this mod about lowering the rear floor to be like the r65_75s. i just put a patch panel at the front of the rear feeder to cover a hole.How do you fix these holesIJ (the cover we had made up at a welding shop did not fit very well).

I don't believe the dementions changed at all on the R65 75 except for floors are alot thicker and seal for rear of front feeder is situated such that retainer bolts are not exposed to wear. All I did is tilt down rear of front feed floor approx 3_4" starting about 1' ahead of seal. I sliced the side with mini chop saw blade and pushed floor down when lowered all the way. I then welded sides back up with help from some filler iror. I then sealed back up very similiar to the way R65 75s do. That does two things: It gives me more room under chain at the tightest place in feeder system and it allows for better entrance into rear feed. It don't take much to make a big difference. I know of a guy that lowerer rear of front feed an inch and did the same to front of rear feed. Haven't talked to him to see how he is getting by. As far as front of rear feed when wore threw. We sometimes will patch if machine needs to run right away and replace welded in floor later. Some guys have made matching floor at machine shop and welded on top of wore threw floor. I would rather not move floor closer to chain than it allready is so I will cut out and weld in new. Not all that hard to cut floor out and replace with new. The guy that lowered floors an inch fabricated his floors and removed part of the hump at front of rear feed. You don't very often hear me talk about removeing a hump in transition areas but I think it may be better with less hump in this area between chains. My luck so far looks great at lowering just rear of front feed and was very easy. I did more than that when lowering floor but sure the floor move was the best. Good luck
