IRVING, N.Y., Nov. 21, 2019 – Today, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development Donald “DJ” LaVoy announced USDA has invested $4.3 million in high-speed broadband infrastructure that will create or improve rural e-Connectivity for more than 1,000 rural households on the Seneca Nation’s Cattaraugus Territory in western New York. This is one of many funding announcements in the first round of USDA’s ReConnect Pilot Program investments.

You know, I never thought of New York as a state with rural areas, but of course they exist there just like anywhere else. I'm all for helping improve internet access, so it's good to see that the USDA is taking action to support those areas.
