Combines value of 1480

Where are you locatedIJ Area will probably dictate value. I have an older 1480 that is field ready that I would gladly sell for much less. It has an almost new motor and is in pretty good shape but it is too small for our use now. We hadn't bothered to take it to the field for the last two years but this year we cut milo with it so it wouldn't just dry rot. It is still just fine except it needs a cab headliner.

The head with that machine is a 24 ft 810. But in our area 30 ft 1010 can be had from dealers with wobble box for 5000 and with gearbox for 7000. Price is lower off the dealer lot. I wasn't pushing mine since I am in Texas, but I think in todays market you can get a lot more machine for the money you were talking. I would not be at all afraid of taking my 1480 to the field but around here it would not bring over 10K on its best day. I saw a 2188 with very high hours sell for 20000 at auction three months ago. When I was looking to trade the 1480 in on a 1680 two years ago the dealer offered to sell the 1680 for 45000 outright or trade for 50000 difference. Think on that for a second. That pretty much says how much the dealers want to see one on their lot.
