If the tin work is good on the corn head it is worth 6000.00. The 320 doesnt have much value but if it is in good shape should be worth 1500.and I am not sure on the combine but 5000.00 would sound awful cheap. Did he say 6000.00 for the machine and both headsIJYou cant figure anything in value to someone else for the repairs you did,I know they are alot ,but to you only. I put bars on my 72 this summer and they were almost 4000.00 by the time I added the kit to extend the bars,Does your banker know nothing about GleanersIJI saw a F3 bring 6500.00 without heads the other day Illinois Gleaner

The 6000 was just for the machine, and the tin work is excel on machine and heads. 3200 hrs on machine.

What do bankers know about combinesIJ It sounds to me like he is giving you salvage prices.

Be careful of that banker. Next thing he'll have you trading for A worn out 9600.

Just go tell him to find you some at that price in good field ready condition and tell him he can be your buyer for you to start a used equipment dealership.Go to fastline and do a search then look at those prices.Might want to print some off to show him.

What you have to keep in mind, is a banker will keep a buffer price for themselves. In most cases, the price you expect a piece of equipment to be, will only be at 60% for them. Also the older a piece of equipment gets, the less attractive it is for a lender to use it as collateral, and in a lot of cases, salvage prices are used.

Ask him how he came to these figures ,did he have it appraised. If he can give you a good answer how or why he priced it this way is one thing. I would look at like this if you had to line line it up and sell it at public auction what would it bring in your area. Do some research of what like type combines are selling for in your part of the country, allow for differances but you should get a good idea what it is really worth. As far as your banker if he tries to fill you with a bunch of BS I would say gather up your papers and tell him you don't think his bank is up to doing business with you and find somewhere else. what I have found over the years if a banker can't talk farming your in trouble
