is this a pull typeIJ if so we had one in the Rosholt area in the 80's for a little while i want to say that it was conventional cylinder with rotary separation but i was pretty young back then august wieser rosholt, sd
There is a implement dealer down here in kansas that has a versatile toy combine, its pull type. Not sure if it has moving parts or not, have to check it out. I do believe it was an axial flow design though
You can read a PAMI evaluation summary of the Versatile 2000 combine at this link to PAMI. The Versatile combine has the dishonor of being rejected by PAMI the first time around. Not sure of the reason for rejection, but they came back a year later an got tested. It had a cylinder and rotary separator ala CTS and lexion. Maybe they were ahead of their time.
In traveling through ND, I have found one. There is a farmer who has one just a few miles north of Bowman, ND on US 85. He has several older IH's and this monsterous Versatile combine. Its a pull type, has the centered unloading auger, and has the later paint scheme on it before Ford came into the picture. Are you looking for the sp or pull typeIJIJ
I know of a neighbour who has one here in Sask. They never made a SP model in this style. They did make a 1_16 scale toy that the sides would come up and with a crank you could turn and see how the combine works. The reason it was called the Transaxial 2000 was because of the size of the cylinder it was 2000 millimeters or about 67 inches. The unloading auger was a turret style you could unload from either side of the combine. The design was similar to a CTS Deere it had the cylinder and then two rotors would pull the straw out no walkers. Just curious why are you looking for info.
I am iterested in the trans axial Because I am building a simmular system in to A 860 MF. The machine has already been modified with a 903 cummins engine, direct drive hydro, hydraulic drive unloading auger, electric over hydraulic controls, and twin hi-inertia cylinders ( yes two cylinders and concaves). Now we have removed the walkers and will be replaceing them with a twin rotor separation system. The versatile may give me some good ideas on how to make the transation from the cylinders to the separation rotors.
