Combines VIP Plant trip

Three years ago I went to our local JD dealer to commit to buying my well used K2 and it was not on the lot. It was on it's way back from one of the dealers farms north of us, as I arrived at the dealer the Gleaner was slowly poking it's way through Paris MI back to my town after running beans. They washed it and I bought it. This is my Gleaner_ Paris story, I got no demo or discount, but I like the old thing. Tbran, must be every Paris has an Eiffel_awful tower, our Paris park has one so small I am yet to locate it, and the park is only about 4 acres. Nick

Is this plant tour for real or are you just kiddingIJ I've bought 4 new Gleaner combines in the last 12 years and never been offered a chance to tour the plant. Maybe after all the combine sales they lost at the end of 2005 due to their certificate program and droping of the unit volume incentive program and price increases they need to do something.

The reason the French put a forward gear in their tank is in case the enemy comes from the rear. tbran, I need to show you my French army rifle I just bought, it has never been used, but has been dropped once. You know you can tell a French solder by his sunburnt armpits from holding his arms up...Back to combines.

Is all this France bashing still over the fact that they would not join us in a ill advised warIJ I think we need some common sense_decency here and realize that such talk is inflammitory. Does AGCO not have a presence in FranceIJ Is this website not seen in FranceIJ Remember France also is the reason we won the Revolutionary war. .

all is in jest, yes I have a few contacts in france, I kid them as well. and i agree, all wars are ill advised, they occur because of egotestical (sic) humans have hate in their minds that cause irrational actions and reactions. As a student of history, most of which has been rewritten, (betsy ross never saw an american flag, paul revere never made a midnight ride, the winter at valley forge was not as it was portrayed to be and on and on) the fact is that when the colonist stopped fighting toe to toe on battlefields and turned to vietcong type fighting , the end was sealed for Britian. Had not the French fleet shown up and trapped Cornwallis he would have escaped along with most of his army and convinced the king that the fight was futile - the outcome would have been about the same. the french - a la ben franklin -joined the frey after victory was in the bag. Baron von Stuben and lafayette were courageous men with various motives, all of which have nothing to do with combines, except agco has a bunch of tractors built in france and hope to ship some real combines over there in the future. an official aplology to anyone offended.

As I am not a (willing) student of history I will yield to your account of history. I hope I did not come across as hostile or offended. I have just heard too much divisionary talk recently.
