I am not sure what model you have but sometimes the bottom shieve where you hook the shaft on doesnt get enough grease and will no longer keep tension on the belt. Without enough grease the springs dont have enough tension. Just a thought. IG

I'm hoping you have a 1989 1_2 or newer machine. If so speed up the varible and then unhook the little reel lift hose from varible speed coupling. If header and feeder still slows up then replace the 400 or 500 PSI relief valve that is in the header varible hose very near the coupler. It would take a very large external leak to cause that fast of leak down. If not the valve report back in. Good luck

we have had a few of these, it is always a tiny bit o trash under the seat. We put one in an injector tester via homemade adaptor kit and popped it off, then it seated, others did not. Just a tiny score in the seat will do this evidently. BTW 71368991 is the part n
