I have seen quite a few TX combines in Canada and almost none in the U S. I assume that Greg is posting from Canada. I've seen some TX advertised in the North Dakota_Minnesota area where their conditions are similar to Manitoba which is directly north in Canada. Some machinery marketed in Canada is not always found in the U S. An Alberta MF partsman told me that they sold alot of Claas_Massey's in their area because the cattlemen baled the straw and liked the quality of the walker machine. In my area farmers prefer the grain quality of the rotary. Few grain farmers in the U S have the straw conditions like in Europe and corn (maize) is the probably the most harvested crop here. This may be some of the reason for not wanting walkers. There was at least one TX in the West which was trialed on the steep Palouse hills and one, I think, tried in California rice . I doubt these were offered for sale in those areas. New Holland was the first to come out with the rotary in the TR in about 1976 and I think that's the only type of combine they sold here after early 80's until TX's were offered in Canada. I doubt that most Americans are aware of most of the models you mentioned unless they've followed European machinery before the internet boom.
