Combines Want chopper

You shoyld try the estes disrupters first, they are a lot cheaper than a chopper. I have both and my combine will shread green soybean stalks.

Try this outfit, TSR. Probably cheaper and easier then adding a CIH chopper. They have dist. in Tangent and Nyssa.

We run a TSR fine cut chopper in our JD 9600. It works great with very little maintenance. Their CIH choppers look like a good idea.

That TSR chopper looks like a good alternative to the caseIH, still would like to find a good used one. Thanks for the info.

If you are working in soybeans, oats, wheat ect. I would really think about looking into a Redekop. The neighbor put one on his 1680 and that thing absolutly chews up and blows out bean straw 100 times better then the IH factory chopper. what about the power requirments to run the redekop heard it was to much compared to the factory chopper since you still have to have the beater in there anyway.

Doc is right! I wouldn't trade my Redekop for almost anything, and no, they don't "pull hard" as I may have first thought. I also use a slo-down kit for corn which cuts the RPM in about half to save wear and tear. It is just a larger pulley for the chopper rotor, and a longer belt. The chopper then simply paddles the cobs and husk out and yet spreads well. If you can find a Redekop,buy it! You will be pleased.
