Why would a radiator shop tell you to use stop leakIJ I thought fixing radiators is what they did. I have used a "ton" of stop leak on these 301 motors because of their tendency to crack the head around the injector sleeves and to develop electrolysis on the cylinder sleeves. I never had trouble with deposits causing trouble when I eventually rebuilt the motor. Go figure. Maybe different stuff, different waterIJ Filters and stop leak don't work good together. One or the other. If you add stop leak maybe some sort of anti-electrolysis agent should be added as well and turn the valves off for the filter.
