a good water pressure gauge is one that reads correctly I have never seen one but it could be helpful in diagnosis or how ever one spells it ..ie blown head gasket.. It would read system pressure on the return side and slightly higher on the pressure side I suppose and most systems read 6-8-12 etc pressure; a few pounds under cap pop pressure.. Water under pressure boils at a higher temp... there my schooling was not for aught. Hmmm I havn't answered your question but it will be easier to hit post than to erase...
