Brodale, if your machine has the curved metal straw spredder bats, yes the gears will need to be repaced at those hours. Those bats take a lot of power. I need to replace those gears in both of my machines this winter. I had to replace that idler pully that engages the feeder on one of my machines at less than 500 hours. They must have had a run of bad ones. I had to replace the five band seperator belt on one this fall cutting beans and the other one will be replaced this winter. The machine that I cut most of the corn with, will need a new incline auger this winter. One or two failed bearings I wouldn't be too concerned about. When I was cleaning up my machines yeasterday I noticed on one, the bearing up on the clean grain elevator is completely gone. My machines cut about 60% wheat and the rest corn and soybeans. I always say the 40% time in corn and beans are harder on them than the 60% time in wheat.
