Yes I am estatic!!!!!! My perspective is that you got to keep up with technology. Consider that I started farming fresh out of a USAF pilots seat 1954.With a WC Allis, a JD A, a New Idea Picker, a AC 5' combine, 8 cows to milk by hand, 17 beef cows, a flock of laying hens, a wife, 2 youngsters (later 4),and plenty of opportunities.I have had 4 farm machinery sales, '69,86,94, and 03. Each time was basically to sell the old technology while it still had value. If you think about it ag has come a long way.Along the way I got 3 sons and my son-in-law started farming. They all have jobs in addition and their wives too. I don't know that this was a good idea. Even though at the time it was the best thing to do. Most of all I have loved every minute (almost) of it.I think it is sad what some of the machinery sold for, but had we kept it the value would soon be just scrap price.
