Combines well agco did it again

Allen, I had the new fieldstar on my R75 last year. I loved the screen,but I was like you ,It blocked alot of the view on the left side. I took the shelf off up to the right of the cab so I could move the field star up out of the obstructed view. It sure helped as far as seeing in the mirror and the right side of the head. IG

Allen, on the bottom of the screen there are 4 items displayed. if you push the title, (i.e.,oil pressure) you can scrool through options to select what you want to be displayed. Unless something has changed that i do not know of fuel should be on there. at least it was on the 2008 machines that we have. You can also view fuel usage on the EIP by pressing and holding the RPM button (i think that is the right button) until (ENG DIAG is displayed) and you can scroll though engine info. If you have need anything else just post, i am probably going to be on here alot in the next few days, just showed up at the hospital to see my first kid born!!!

IG, I also cut the shelf in half so I could mount the monitor up and out of the way. But now at night I can't see out of my left side rear view mirror because of the glare from the monitor. There is a control in the monitor to dim the screen but it doesn't do anything. These Fieldstar monitors are not very user friendly.

Kip, Your monitor may be different but on mine I put my finger on the top right hand corner and drag it left to dim the screen.

silver bullet you must have the original black and white fieldstar screen. Kip has the GTA fieldstar II console

I would think that they deliberately left it out because of the increased fuel consumption of the Tier-3 emissions qualified engines. If you had an older machine and knew what the fuel consumption was, and now traded-up to a new machine and your getting a 25% increase in fuel consumption to do the same work, you are not going to be very happy about it. You'll probably complain to your dealer and they will complain to AGCO. Unfortunately AGCO and the other majors can't do anything about the EPA regulations. So they chose to not make the information readily available in hopes that you wouldn't notice it. This is just one more example of the "ill"-lOGIG that the EPA uses. More hydrocarbon use to decrease emissions. I am just too uneducated to understand that one.
