Deerebines, I don't know for sure - I live away from home during the week while I go to school. I'm guessing a head rebuild, piston and possible liner and bearings will cost what the combine is actually worth. I tried to convince dad to salvage the thing or push the p.o.s. in the back 40's fence line, hopefully something will sink in. I really don't want to be stuck with a combine that doesn't have enough capacity for what we do and at the same time has had more $$$$ put into it than a combine that will do 3x the work. I just want the little thing done so I can get the big boys (6620, 7700) in the shop and get them ready for next year. I'll keep you updated, 95

95woman stay away from the 4420. The machine itself separates fine but it has an imported German engine and transmission. My neighbor Ernie had fits for the 6 years he ran it . It had one engine and two transmission rebuilds. My Deere parts guy said the few their delearship sold were always in the shop for major repairs.

Oh wouldn't life be great... but I would probably bring the pictures of the 3300 burning out of the bathroom and hang them on the wall in the living room, so it looks like the 3300 will survive. Adios, 95man

You are welcome 95man. When it was out in the field not breaking, it did a decent job. But that seemed few and far between. The 6620T2 has been a fabulous machine. We have shelled 3 years and run beans 2 years with it. We have never had a breakdown in the field.

95woman, YES MAAM!!!! A diesel 95 for you would be a good possibility, it would by far smoke the 4420. Gee, I just love the way you think!!! later skiddo, 95man

Done potato for this year. I don't know if Jeff found the leak or not. He is a pretty good mechanic and not afraid to tackle problems.
