Combines What are cage sweepsIJ

These were arms that hugged the outside of cage and worked its way left to right. It was meant to keep material from building up on cage. They were hard to keep up and running so we removed all around hear. The R60 and 70 in '90 and '91 had a fore aft cage sweep and I've never removed one of them for they never gave any trouble. The R40,50,42,52,62,72 never had such a sweep for they had more room around cage and less cage ribbing designed into them. There may be a special crop somewhere that needs sweep on older machines but don't know what it would be. With a certain amount of hyperizeing there is less straw that goes threw cage that can cause plugging. There are a couple tricks to prevent plugging above concave arms if there is a problem.
