I think the best combine to buy would be based on the best backup service you get from your closest dealer , generally most combines are fairly similar, depending on wether you want rotory or conventional. We bought a combine from a dealer because they were the cheapest but there after sales service was hopless ,the next one we bought same make same model different dealer cost more but there service is sensational . Makes life so much easier when something goes wrong .We run a TR98 and love it , but doesnt mean to say its the best out there ,every machine out there has its good and bad points and they all break down any one tells you any different and there full of it. Best of luck

I would get a JD but thats because my dealer treats me well and has excellent support and parts department. The reply you got on the Case board is about the best answer you will get.

I have to agree that the nest advice is to purchase a dealer_combine pair and not just a combine. We were green for many years and lost the local dealership that served us so well. When we bought a different machine we went with an Axial flow because of the dealer that was involved. It was a very good decision, as we have received a very high level of service.

Road in a R75 last year with a 12row Hugger at 4.5-5 mph in 170 bushel corn. It would be a dream come true, but an 81 and an 84 N6 will get us by for, I hope, a long time.

What catmandont said but for the CaseIH 2388, and probably a little cheaper to buy than John Deere.

Okay, you recommend a 9750, but which combine were you talking about in your second line, because one thing's for certain: they don't describe an STS.

Get the cheapest and best R62 you can and rebuild it to your own specs, or better yet to the specs all the wonderfull people at this site have offered. Its a shame AGCO cant have a team of farmers to help put all these ideas to good use.
