Many do's and don'ts to do.Would make sure to have all 3 ram's under the feederhouse for 25ft table.Alway's run 21knives in rotor except possibly for the wheat. If running less in tough soybean's you will probably need a new rotor cover as it may tear up from overloading. In wheat we run only 9knives as we bale the straw and it help's with seperation as straw isn't chewed as much.Wheat requires most set-up.1st blanks for first 3 concaves or if you like work forget the blanks and go complete filler rod's for complete concave.2nd full small grain plate in place of 2 perferated plates on top of concave.Knives depend on preferance 9 work's well for spiral and easier performance. If just clipping head's probably can keep all 21 in.Have heard of some taking all knives out if you have full length rasp bars instead of flat partial knives in back.If your dealer can get you in touch with A Dave who work's as the district agco combine rep. He know's these machines from end to end he started with the 8560's in about 1986 and still with them today. As for hp.you should be fine we run an 8560 with a 863 corn head and 20ft. table 175hp at 6 gal. an hour.I'm sure I drive slower than I have to seeming to do just fine.Tried an 8570 with 240hp only could go .2th's faster corn useing 9gal.of fuel an hour.Someday when we need to go we'll get a big machine and keep rolling to clear acres no rush at the present.
