Combines What engine is in the new NHIJ

Check the NH combine site. You will have to download the specs using Acrobat reader to get any info on the engine, and then it is just horsepower and displacement. I suspect the 940 has an updated engine similar to those use in the older Genesis tractors. The bigger machines have larger displacement engines. They are probably all made by Iveco.

The CR920 and 940 have the 7.5l genesis engine. Specifically the version number 675TA_AA. The changes are there for emissions reasons. The fuel system is the biggest change which uses an electronically controlled Bosche pump instead of the mechanically governed one that the 70 series tractors and older TR combines had. The CR960 and 970 have IVECO engines. The 970 uses a 10.3l and I think the engine on the 960 is a 7.8l

Basically yes. There are some part number differences along the way. For instance the part number for the pistons in a TR 89_99 is different than any other piston part number including tractors. Either material specs or suppliers for some parts changed but the engines are physically identicle. They started using the 7.5l genesis on the later TR87 and 97 combines on. NH parts does not list these as power unit model numbers like they do for the engine on the CR combines or older 7.8l engines.
