My partner and I recently spent an entire evening looking at two Deere machines. Both look like they were designed to keep Deere's foundry busy today and the parts company busy for years to come. Both the CTS and the STS are more complex than they need to be. The same is true of the Claas_Cat machine. In defense of the Claas_Cat, they are extremely serviceable if you are considerate of a little time to work in sequences. Afterall, these machines are designed and manufactured to be able to "containerize" them and then ship them anywhere in the world (that you can find a wide spot in the road) for final assembly. Try that with a Deere, Case or New Holland! If simple is what you want, just lay an 8780 parts book next to a Deere CTS or STS parts book. The one that is Inches shorter is the simple one!
