It was Allis Chalmers Mexicana. Deutz just bought out the agricultural division of Allis Chalmers here in the U.S. What was left of A-C retained ownership of this factory in Mexico under the Allis Chalmers name where they built the l4's. It technically was an "Allis Chalmers" Gleaner combine with green stripe decals. look at the 2nd picture on my web site - you can see the "Allis Chalmers" decal at the bottom of the cab. I still don't know the specifics about how AC got the rights to build the l design again or even use the "Gleaner" name on them. I'll try to find out though.... Tom langan
