Got me to do a double take! Was marked 9450STS on the left side. It fit on the semi easier than the normal STS's that I see on I-80. Just wondering if it is a test model headed for Wheat and Corn south and west of Iowa. Only had a 6-30 head on the trailer with the combine. I-80 sees alot of combine movement, from Moline, Omaha and Grand Island. Rarely see a Massey or Gleaner on I-80.

I'm going to take a wild guess here, and say that you actually saw a 9450 conventional.

I have to agree with Chris. It had to have been a 9450 walker. Even those are getting very rare. Deere only makes a class 6 and 7 STS and weren't even planning on building a class 5 of that type because that is getting too small. I doubt very much a 9450 STS would ever even be planned let alone built. Who would buy itIJ

We took the Gold Key plant tour last summer and while we were waiting for our combine to come down the line we got to talk to some workers and they had mentioned that JD was going to build a 9450STS. It was suppose to complete their STS lineup:6rw-9450,8rw-9650,12rw-9750. We've also heard they are introducing a 32rw planter for 2003,and in 2004 a 36rw planter.
