I kind of depends on how big of a cart you are going to use. We have a lot of mud and have our cart on belts, so we really like the Cat 65. However, I'm not sure the row crop series has enough weight to pull a 1000 bu cart. I've talked to guys who just couldn't get enough traction to go up hills with the smaller Cats.

We use either our 9282 or 9682 versatiles on our cart.Wet spots or hills don`t slow them down. The 9682 works little better cause of power shift. Both sit high enough to see in semi`s and both have plenty of hyd`s our cart is hyd driven.Use to use 9190Deutz but was hard to see what you were filling without running out other side.

What kind of buggy are you using that you can run it hydraulicallyIJIJIJIJ I've heard it is real slow unloading compared to pto. I have a Versatile and would like to run mine off the hydraulics but don't want to lose capacity.

I was going to ask the same question. We have a Kinze 450C that is all hydraulic and it does a decent job of unloading. Conveyors are much more effecient than augers. I investigated converting an auger cart to hydraulic and decided that it wasn't feasible.

We are running our killbros cart hyd on a 9282and 9682 versatile.I would say it slow down unloading at least 50%.We are either going to put pto on the little versatile or make a jackshaft with sprockets to run cart. Can be done easy we think by mounting double sprocket to hyd motor then adding one to shaft .Put hyd motor above or below shaft and connect with double roller chain. Its worth a try before spending $5500 for a pto.

I can vouch that the new Case-IH tractors have their own set of drawbacks. I wish I could overide the computer on the tranny controller and throtle speed on a STX, other wize I would really like it. Nice and high but needs to move ahead quickly when the 22" auger is unloading into truck. They have the computer set to drop engine speed hesitate then move ahead. It is a bit retarded when unloading close to 600bu_min. But in the same breath I can say that I'm glad that it has sophisticated electronics on steering, it lends itself to what JD is doing with their tractors. Just wish CIH would get their heads together and can the Trimble boys, or get them to get with the program.
