Go to www.agcocorp.com and go into the Challenger product lineup for North America. There, some of your questions may be answered. Otherwise, as I understand it today, the MT600 tractor series has the AGCO chassis and powershift transmission with the Valmet engine for this first year. The Cat engines will be installed once the necessary fit-up work is completed (by next year I believe) to integrate those powerplants into the rugged cast iron frame that AGCO uses. Plans for the Fendt Vario tranny are also up in the air I think for now. There are only rumors that the Vario will appear in the AGCO, MF, and Challenger tractors next year.

I always thought "MT" stands for "Mobil Trac". Now they are naming wheel tractors "MT" as well.

Is a MF 8200 basically the same tractor that they will make into the MT 600, noticed they have a SISU or Valmet engine, might be pricey to work or OH an engine I bet. Who's MFD front axle will the MT 600 series getIJ

The MF 8200 are the same tractor as the AGCO DT series and cat mt 600 series.The mfd should be agco desidned.

The Agco DT uses Cummins engines and the MF and Cat use the same engine(SUSI 8.4l). Go look it up! IlNH

The MT600's will have a Cat engine before long. Heck, I don't know if any of the dealers have even ordered a MT600 series.

Holt CAT in Columbus at least has one MT600 series, MT700 series and Challenger round baler you can see from the interstate. (70 heading west from Columbus). I was suprised to see them there. With only one of each they will probably just be demo machines, quite possibly for all of their locations, don't know about the baler though. I also noticed they had some of the new utility tractors as well. Hopefully before too long we can see the new Challenger Combines on lots as well, give 'em a better look over. YoungFeller
