If you check check WAY down the list of messages on this site,Massey Man had a explanation of the 865.I have seen a couple at auctions out here but it's been a long time since i looked at one .I think it has something to do with collecting the chaff from the walkers and running it through the rethresher IJIJI do have a good memory it's just REAl short. Thanx for the gauge idea i'm going to set one up tomorrow . Ron

We have the 865 here in the uk but im not sure if it was built in the us or europe

An 865 is a canadian biult combine adapted for conditions where they have heavy crops of straw. This consists of an extra beater below the end of the walkers with a wire screen below all grain falling through the screen is returned to the pan under the walkers to fall onto the front of the grain pan. Otherwise it is a bog-standard 860 most of these were sold in Europe where they were quite popular and reliable
