Combines What is true with the new CIH combine coming outIJ

I don't know how much is true but a couple years ago I saw an experimental Case combine in Sterling, Il. It did not have two unloading augers, but one in the middle that would go either way. It was extremely loud as well. Besides that, I can't tell you much more, as the service truck that accompanied it would chase us off whenever we got near!

All research related to the CIH CBX combine, the large 4x4 one with the centrally mounted unloading auger and 600hp Cummins, with 30.5's all the way around (capable of having the Quadtrac system installed),has been dropped in response to an extreme shortage of funds within CNH. Additionally, all researh associated with the ARCUS combine (a German born combine, specifically for smalle grains that did have two unloading augers, one on each side) was dropped a couple years ago. Because of NH's increased development on future machines, all research is being devoted to perfecting the release of the new walker and twin rotary combines from NH. Anything new from CIH will be a spill over of devlopment from NH. CIH will take the back seat to NH this round until funds are enough to once again support extensive CIH development.

I've heard the following straight from head factory people: There is an experimental CIH running. It is supposed to cut 20% more than the currently leading machine by saving 20% fuel. It is going to be a single rotor again. CIH will move their combine production to Grand Island, NE. The new generation NH and the new CIH will be build on the same chassis. The new CIH might be ready in 2003.

I seen that same combine in Sterling Il, got a real good look at cause i knew where the engineers that were running that machine kept it yes that combine had an auger that would swing either way had about a 600 hp engine very similar to what the stx 440 has in it the The grain tank held about 400 bu i guess it looked like it even had all wheel steer by the thing turned it will be called CBX or AFX and will come out shortly after the NH

I operate a CIH test farm in Sterling Il. I operated this combine it had a new Style Rotor that was 42inches Which is 6 inches larger than the roter in the 2188 and 2388. It had a center pivot auger that layed down on the left side and was 24 inches. Also it had a axle like the NH supersteer that articulated. It Would hold 325 bu. and had a 600 Hp. Cummins. Production is to start 2004.
