It goes into the cylinder. The wheat kernels drop out the bottom of the concave or get spun out of the cage as the straw moves through. The kernels drop down onto the accelerator rolls which force the kernels through the air stream at 9 times the speed of gravity. Then it drops onto the sieves just like any other combine. The straw in the cylinder rotates from right to left in the cage and discharges out the left hand side via a beater onthe cylinder and either an impeller or chopper to the spreader.
