I wore out flex head is not worth much money. I ended up rebuilding the flex arms and getting a new wishbone arm as well as the left hand skid plate for my 224. After that replacement and new guards and sections it cuts and floats like a new machine. It cost some money but I couldn't justify the cost of a newer one for only 500 acres of beans. Depending on the condition, a few bucks and some labor may go a long way. I did some minor rebuilding instead of getting some parts.

Absolutely nothing really...guys just want the newer ones. Maybe they didnt have DAMIJ We picked one up for cheap. Did some minor rebuilding, put in a stainless steel bottom, added a plastic fingered pipe reel and it performs just as well as the neighbor's brand new 9650 with a new 20 ft flex. We cut 750 acres of beans each of the last two years and didnt have to do anything but new sections and wear plates once.

Thanks, I have priced several after-market parts. I thought I could rebuild cheaper than buying a newer one. Just wanted see what others had done.
