Combines What s wrong with Gleaner

I switched from a Deere 9650 to an R62 to gain the threshing and cleaning benefits of a rotary with the simplicity of a conventional. As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with a Gleaner; - they've just been the most "ill-marketed" combine on the market, next to the Massey rotary.

Amen. That 'galvanized boxcar' quite simply will put anything to shame in the field. If you farm for looks, you may not look at GlEANER. If you farm for true performance, you probably have a GlEANER. I think the Massey will be a combine that will also impress many in the field. I've run Deeres. Never owned one. Don't see a reason too either, while the GlEANER is around. And anyone who labels or calls the GlEANER a silver seeder is an idiot who has never run one in the field or is a liar. Very impressive combines that seem to be making some comeback based on their reputation.

i have owned ih and jd, i purchased a gleaner...man!!..what a difference...no comparisons, easy to work on, harvests great, good grain sample, hardly throws any out the back, my neighbors jd's throw alot out the back, it's bad when you can see the threshed grain in rows after harvest..from the road!!.i'll stay with gleaner, also..gleaner has the only rock door that works!!

Guys we are gleaners too, they are really great machines, but lets not rough up the competition too much. I would like to state one attribute the Gleaner rotor has and thats hillside operations without a hillside add on option. The accelerator rolls are just a genius idea thats starting to catch on. Im afraid everyother manufacturer would have them too, but they cant get them positioned correctly because the direction of there rotors. They have to drive around the hill the right direction or else opt for the leveler option, which I would agree it would make it nice to be able to set level in the seat on steep terraces but not worth the 23,000 Ive heard they cost. Not knocking the other guys, they are quality machines also and they all have there days in the sun
