To get ready make sure the grain carts are hooked up and get the Deeres out of the way!

You need to put the update on the clean grain elevator to handle the extra corn. Good luck.

The update for the clean grain elevator is a larger sump on the bottom end. Couldn't find the kit number in the productivity support kit book. 2388 may already have this installed. Will need the third lift cylinder kit pn137856A2 for 60"feeder 137857A2 with a rock trap. Better check the parts book because I also think the channel that the cylinders attach to under the feeder is also heavier on this machine. If your machine is equipped with field track would also consider the plastic slide ki 416757A1 (slicker material and larger bolts) and the slide support angle ki 416756A1 due to the increased weight of the 12 row head. Also look at your tire carrying capacity.

I have 1 98 2388 that I put a 2212 corn head last year. the third cylinder for sure 16 weights on he back fluid in the tires at least 18.4 42 duals. I had no problem with it it would shell 180 bu corn corn as fast as a lexion 485 but in 200+ corn I removed 50% of the wires from the concave clean grain elev gave no problem but you need the cone that goes inside the combine.
