Combines What to watch for on a 84 N6

I have a 84 N-6 and have had good luck with it. I bought it with ~ 2200 hrs and now have like 3300. The motor should be underhauled at 2500hrs--new bearings and rod bolts. Inspect the feed chains and sprockets for wear and make sure they have spring tension on them. The biggest problem with these machines in wheat is the straw spreader. You wonder what Gleaner was thinking putting that little flipper back there. Some owners have updated later style dual spreaders on these machines. I still just curse the old one. Most parts from N-7s fit N-6s.
