Combines What was the first M H or M F combine you ever ranIJ

My first combine was the 410,man I thought that it just couldn't get any better than this but that was 30 years ago,I was ten when I started to drive combine.

I am now 18 and I to started running a combine at age 10. Ran a 510 that I still have but we parted it out last year to keep our other 510 running. If it ever started running quiet then I knew something was wrong, just turned the radio up and went like hell(for at least 30 minutes)

My first was a MH 80 special. Bought two off a dealer to clean up his lot. Between the two we were able to make one good one. Used it for 4 years then went to a 410. Still have parts of the bad one.

First combine I ran was a Super 92 Massey Harris in 1980. Since then I have run a 510 and every model from the 750-860.

Ran a M-H 82 when I was 9 then went to a 410 and now have a 750 hydro ( man is it sweet). Still have 2 (1 rice machine) 410s and a semi complete 82 with a bunch of spares

Daddy had one of the earliest 300`s i know of, ran it when i was 9. Then we went to Gleaner K2, then to F then to IH715, lost my axx farming with that one,, now back to a K Gleaner....... the old 300 was a gooden...... Didnt have the round 300 symbol. some kinda funky slash or arrow through the 300 symbol... had a 4 cyl diesel. remember when it wouldnt crank. we`d just pull it off to get it started.

I think that Model 300 was anywhere from 1963-1965 anyway. I don't remember the exact year Massey went to the round number decal, but I've seen the 1964 Model 410 and it had the number with the arrow as did all Super 92's. I've never found a 1964 510,too rare, but the 1965 one also had the arrow. It would be interesting for someone to post a follow-up and tell us when the change was made.

I can just barely remember the first Massey Dad bought. I think it was a 26, but was to young to operate it. I did run a 60 that was purchased to replace the 26.

First one was pto 60 clipper then to a 715 IH and now a CIH 1440. Can't say anything bad about either machine.

My Dad and uncle shared ownership of a 80 special. My first bout behind the wheel was when I was 5 years old. The machine had a scour cleaner and didn't have power steering or a cab. In 1970 we traded it on a 535 Cockshut, later got a 7300, 8600, 8920, in 1996 moved onto New Holland TX 66 and Tx68 models.
