dustyr72, I am not sure about the first two numbers that you list because they do not jive with serial number breakdown. Now if it is newer than a 1990 then you should have a 1995 model since they started with 42001 and up to 44000. Hope this helps, Hyper Harvest II

Hyper Harvest II, i gave those numbers to a dealer and he couldn't find it either. i looked high and low all over but can't find any other plates with numbers or model n's. it has the same depth flighting as the older 327 headers and the structural metal that the wobble box bolts to is much heavier then the 327 has. could it be that the first two numbers were put at the front of the serial n by accidentIJ If that was the case the number would look rightIJ

Is the serial number plate on the lH end plate towards the rear of the headerIJ It might be that the first number designates the width. Is this a 27' headerIJ Seems that I remember that the header width is the first number. Hyper Harvest II

Yeah,it is near the top towards the rear. it is 27 foot. it also has that extra channel iron under the auger that really helps keep the crop from coming up over the stripper bar.

Normally there is a letter between the size of the head and the serial number. But this could have changed on later grainheads as it has been a while since I have actually looked at a 500 series serial tag. Hyper Harvest II

42241G27 is what this one would be if the front two numbers were moved to the back. could this be what was supposed to have been stamped on itIJ

That sounds and looks more like what the serial should be. Hyper Harvest II

I don't know the serial n's on heads but it sounds like a 400 series header which I think were new in 1995 and ran until the 700 series began.
