I am currently working as Operation Manager for Machinerylink in the Kingman, Kansas field office, phone 620-532-1044. Our Corp Headquarters are in Kansas City. Machinerylink now runs the largest fleet of combines in 23 states, including JD conventional and STS, Case 2388s, and Cat 470s. This has been a good year with 300% growth and plenty of work to keep our machines busy. This has also given us a good opportunity to monitor and confirm the strengths and weaknesses of each, while also helping farmers manage their harvesting equipment expenses. We also do testing and comparison of various new machines, features and combine enhancements. fyi, Although I hesitant to leave a good job behind, I discontinued working for Cat and the lexion factory in Nov. 2002 after several years on that factory start-up and lexion launch. I left there (Omaha) to spend some valuable time with my dear Dad (age 81) before he passed away on 30 Jan. 2003. (lord have mercy on a poor ol' wheat farmer). This has also given me a chance to help with the farming transition, revalidate and re-kindle some of the Bi-Rotor concepts here in Kansas, and still maintain our residence in Indiana. You can still email me at FarmBuddy@aol.com or avannahmen@machinerylink.com Or see www.machinerylink.com for more information on combine sharing and managed lease programs. ps: We are also looking for farmers to become certified combine operators for next year.
