Um....yep I'm for real,I guess I live in an area where gleaners havnt been able to shake the mighty green or the red, there are also alot of new hollands around, but no gleaners (I do know Of one about 8 miles away but dont know the guy) I understand your surprize though,I have a relation in southern manitoba that was amazed we have more deeres than gleaners,And believe it or not,I grew up around combines,I can list the cylinder sizes for virtually every deere made, and all the components in a CIH from the belt pick-up to the straw spreader, but I honestly couldnt tell you wich gleaners are rotory or wich are conventional. So back to your questions,I'm in a "small grains" area(canola_barley_wheat) I currently have only 400 acres in grain, but hope to duoble or triple that soon,my budget is small (I'm just starting, and have not inherited a farm) I guess what spured my interest in a gleaner is that I was looking at a 7721 titan2 or a 1682 CIH,and came across several low acre gleaners in the same age 1987-1991 that where actually cheaper than the above mentioned pulltypes. So thats why all the questions,So armed with this new imfo, what would you'all recommendIJmy number one priority by far is RElIABIlITY,then the ability to save grain, and lastly performance,as far as size is concerned,it would be nice to be in the same size catagory as the 7720 deere or the 1680 CIH (to fit in with my other equipment ie swather)thanx
