I'd say, what are you waiting onIJIJ They are allowing you $25 for a 6620 TIIIJ That is a pretty good price to me. The $84900 sounds high for the 9500, but if it's an excellent machine, go with it, you will be soooo happy with stepping up to a 9000 series. I went from a 7700 and 6620 to my '91 9500, WOW!! Harvest was a lot quicker this year than last, and a lot less down time too!

I would jump at it, and fast! Seems a fair price for a sidehill 9500 FWD which is in good shape, and I think your dealer is making a fair offer to you for your 6620! I would deal!

auction value of 9500SH with those hours is less than 70K, but also real auction value of 6620SH with your hours is probably around 15K. So sounds like the dealer is has about five to play with. (Or wait around to get). If you can live with leaving that on the table, and if (great big IF) the 9500 hasn't been rode real hard and put up wet but got a nice wax job, should I guess be allright. Are you sure you need 50% more machineIJ It is almost that much longer and also over legal height. Tradeoffs...I have an 84 6620 SH with 2800 hrs bought new in 86 (set two years at the dealer and I got it for 40K plus a worn out MF 550, so I can afford to continue a while.

The thing is that the past 2 years the machine has been nickle and diming us to death. This year alone they've put 4 or 5 alternators in it. Nothing will get it to charge when we run all the lights and fan and radio. The sidehill system won't work right. They tried a new box but it didn't help. Put in a new hydraulic valve for the sidehill system. Bottom line is we think we need to get into somthing thats more reliable. We still aren't done yet because of all of the down time. We know that the 9500 is to big for us right now but we are expanding and can do some custom. I agree about the 5k. I wanted at least 30 for the 6620. Havn't talked to the dealer for over a week.

What part of the country are you inIJ Is that the right price on the JD 4640IJ $37,500 seems awful high for a tractor that is almost 20 years old. You can buy them all day long around here for with that kind of hours for about $18,000. This spring a nice 4850 with MFWD and 2700 hours sold for 30,000. At the same sale they sold a Turbo 8820, with 2000 hrs, for $20,000.
