If it is growing back you will get some heads. Apparently, secondary tillers were still available to grow. The heads will be smaller than the primary heads would have been so reduced yield is a given. Depending on how many heads you get will determine the yield. My yield guess would be half the normal yield but that's hard to tell. If it looks better than before you may get along OK. As far as having enough time to make a head. It will go ahead and head no matter what. The wheat may head 20-30 days later than usual so if you are concerned about hot weather being a factor, that would be the only concern.

I knew a guy who's wheat got mowed off by a hale storm. It grew back and in late August he was trucking wheat to town. (Normal harvest is end of June first of July) It made somewhere between 18-22 bushels. County average is about 36 bushel per acre. I have had worse years. Kurt
