23, It is terrible in north Texas. Wet fall, winter and spring has made all the grain look terrible. The wet fall kept us from getting our Amber out ,so now we have alot of rye grass pressure. Wet winter delayed topdressing. And the wet spring is bringing in the rust.. The wheat is headed. hoping for 25 to 30 bu. we made 70 the last two years... we'll see what happens.. WW
I live down here around the Abilene Tx area and the wheat all seems to be doing ok. Don't get me wrong it needs about an inch or inch and a half of rain to really make a bumper crop. It rained a lot Jan - most of April making the wheat grow and a lot of weeds did too. The rain has cut down here the last 3 weeks and we need a little more to really drive home the wheat crop, but all in all the crop looks pretty good around here.
We are from the lincoln NE area. Not much wheat around here, but we also need rain to get the corn up. Guys are getting done with corn planting and starting on soybeans. Are you a custom harvesterIJIJ We are looking for custom harvesting work ourselves if you know of any just e-mail Thanks Dave
