We've had rain and cool weather here in SC Kansas. Two weeks ago it was 93 degrees and very dry. Most of the wheat that was planted on time here looks pretty good. The later DC wheat looks pretty tough. OK is predicting a 16 bushel average with a 67 million bu. total. Kansas is looking at 37 bu average with a 319 million bu. total. Cash wheat was up 17 cents today. I'm still thinking the price will go higher, world stocks are the lowest since 1995 when cash wheat topped out here at $7.08.

Here in SW Kansas irrigated wheat is looking fair I am not expecting much from the dryland. A lot of mosiac is setting in on the dryland and I have seen a lot of fields that are 80% lost due to that, and drought. There is not much mosiac in the irrigated, and what was there seems to be moving out. I would be happy with 20 bu_ac on my dryland. Hopefully my double crop on the irrigated will make 75-90 bu_ac.
