Combines WHEAT STRAW BEHIND 9760 STS

If the straw is a little tough and the STS is set properly, you will have very nice straw to bale. On a hot, dry day with brittle straw the STS chops it up enough so that it is not worth baling. We straight cut our wheat and barley as much as possible and then the straw is usually very good. If it has been swathed and gets combined after laying in the field for a while, chances of nice straw on a warm afternoon are not great. We are from Canada and get anywhere from 2 to 5 large round bales per acre.
