I think that '05 was the last year for CTS production. The CTS is not listed on Deere's website as being available in '06. My local dealer, which has sold a bunch of them, told me a couple of years ago that the CTS was on the way out. A CTS equipped with a rasp bar cylinder will do good job in corn. With a CTS, you've got the cylinder of a 9500, the motor of a 9600, an excellent saparation system (tine separators),and the shoe area of a 9500. The tine separators are overkill in dry corn. The guys that use them in corn equip them with a kit to slow the tine separators down. Probably just involves changing a pulley and_or a belt or two. Seems like they add or change something behind the cylinder also, but I can't remember what it is. A green dealer in rice county should be able to steer you in the right direction. Make sure the CTS you are looking at doesn't have a spike tooth cylinder. More than a few of those around and they're not good in corn. CTS will do more than a 9500 in corn, but probably won't hang with a 9600 due to the smaller cylinder and cleaning shoe.
