I see your point on wanting a demo before purchase on a machine of this value. However after the problems with the latest Case and Deere machines one more year of testing and refining may not be a bad move, lets hope they have the bugs out as an Agco machine with alot of problems will hurt their sales more than the ones they loose by being a year late. We once purchased an air seeder with a clause written into the contract that if we were not satisfied with the performance of the machine they would buy it back at a set price and we ended up using that clause and returning it. It may be worth asking the question, if they want to keep customers in your situation they need to realize they are asking for a lot of money with no proof that their product will perform to expectations. Just my thoughts good luck on whatever you decide.

At the Ohio farm science review I spoke to an agco engineer about the A85, He said they have limited machines currently built. It think the number was 5. He mentioned that they are confident in the new design but wanted to get some hours on these units before going into full production. He did mention that these units were first being placed in shows and then out to farms for some real testing. Sounds like Gleaner is taking a cautious approach. With limited supply of these machines one might have to travel to get some first hand experience operating one. I would think that Gleaner would help arrange this for serious buyers.
