Bubs is quite well! Spent the summer sharing our farm, home, and family with our Russian girl, Tanya. She is now back in Siberia, along with our hearts. I spent 3 weeks in her home last summer and will return in a year or so. Beyond that and grandchildren I have been trying to keep the 2388 on top of the mud and going for most of the daylight hours. Old eyes, dust and darkness, are not friendly to nightime harvesting anymore and my help is beyond my years also. 12 hours or so is enough for us and with all things working we get a fair share done. 300 acres of corn left and we will be hunting the warm shop and story writing times as well as visiting with our wives again. I am hoping for a cross country train trip before the new year as well as a visit to my Texas friends. I find when I spend more time praying and less cussing or throwing hammers my days go much better. The l-rd can accomplish more in a blink of His eye than I can in a lifetime. Why not concentrate on what and who is important. I have been watching a new draper cut and I may just have one on the front of the 88 next year. Going to have to hang a bit of weight on the rear end, but since it is cookie season I know how to do that. That draper is pretty heavy. I really think that a 30 foot is enough for my machine. Biggest deal with my 88 has been a broken throttle cable. A bit of a booger to put in while the cold wind was blowing 30mph and a two man job, at least for old men and about 2 1_2 hours. I hope your season has been good and the blessing that have come your way have been counted and credit given to those that deserve. Good luck to all that are still cutting and look for me in Thailand in Jan. or Feb.

It was very good, Bubs. I want to hear more from you, too, after harvest is over. I'm still waiting for that e-mail, too. My addy still works.
